Responsibilities

  • Perform technical and administrative team lead duties over subordinate positions by identifying, distributing, assigning, and balancing workload and tasks amongst employees by skill level, proficiency, and/or occupational specialization, making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishments of subordinate work assignments.
  • Consistently exercise independent judgment in directing and assigning work amongst employees by using determinative factors such as team members' expertise, experience, competence, workload availability, work priorities, and team member functional development.
  • Serve as project lead/manager, regularly leading a variety of project team(s) across organizational lines, conducting organizational and process related studies and analysis of organizations, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, resource allocation, and efficiency functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness and resource allocation.
  • Represent the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one (1) year, or will have one year within 120 days of closing of this announcement, at the next lower grade NJ-03, or equivalent GS-11 in other pay system. Specialized experience is described as knowledge, skill, and experience to prevent or alleviate production delays, scheduling conflicts, the lack of sufficient materials, faulty processes, labor shortages, or skilled trade imbalances. Ability to apply a variety of methods to investigate, analyze, plan, and implement corrective action.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or competencies in the following areas:

  1. Ability to plan, organize, lead functions, mentor, and motivate the staff of an organization.
  2. Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
  3. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
  4. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
  5. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.

Compensation and Grade

This is an acquisition demonstration project position, NJ-1152-04, equivalent to the GS-12 to GS-13, with a typical salary range of $76,463 to $118,204.
