0395 Instructor JROTC - Officer Air Force
This role involves developing and delivering JROTC curriculum, managing student records, and collaborating with stakeholders at Kadena High School.

Who may apply:
Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Minimum education requirement:
Officer - Air Force JROTC Officer Instructors must possess a bachelor's degree. Instructors must hold an Advanced AFJROTC Instructor Certification to teach JROTC from United States Air Force (USAF) headquarters services department.
Specialized experience:
Must meet one of the following pathways outlined in 10 USC 2031: Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps:
- A. Retired Air Force Officer whose qualifications are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment.
- B. Air Force Officer who are separated with an honorable discharge within the past 5 years with at least 8 years of service and are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment.
- C. Air Force Officer who are active participating members of the selected reserve at the time of application, for purposes of section 101(d) of this title, and have not yet reached retirement eligibility and are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment.
Note: Per 10 USC 2031: Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps: Only Air Force Officer applicants are eligible. Selection for DoDEA Air Force Officer JROTC instructor positions is at the discretion of the HQ Air Force JROTC Instructor Management Division.
