You will interface with installation and operational planners to determine and validate requirements, and routinely brief senior leaders on aviation programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities

You will interface with installation and operational planners to determine and validate requirements.

You will routinely brief action officers and senior leaders on aviation programs, issues and initiatives as required.

You will assess the impact of realignment and adjustment constraints on command programs and develop recommendations that may impact organization structures.

You will provide staff assistance to assigned subordinate commands as required and appropriate.

You will perform aviation training duties and tasks to improve training capabilities that result in increased overall aviation combat readiness.

You will develop, staff, coordinate and monitor aviation logistic matters pertaining to plans and policies.

Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Conducting, leading and monitoring execution of functions involving aviation programs;
  • Coordinating assessment strategies to ensure aviation mandates and/or requirements for projects are achieved;
  • Determining aviation training facilities requirements for realigned and reorganized activities.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
