Oversees maintenance operations, manages contracts, and supervises staff for U.S. military contracts in Okinawa.
Job Description
As a General Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple workers performing maintenance tasks.
Related Duties:
- Preparing documents (in English) for contract bidding
- Developing maintenance procedures
- Schedule management
- Communicating with U.S. government contract officers and attending meetings
Responsibilities:
- Supervising and guiding all maintenance processes and operations under various contracts with the U.S. military government
- Managing expenses, repair and installation work, equipment, and other related tasks
*Main equipment includes elevators, automatic doors, gate barriers, air compressors, generators, kitchen hoods, overhead cranes, and more.
*Any other works designated by the company
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- Communication skills in both English and Japanese
- Knowledge of various machinery and equipment (elevators, automatic doors, gate barriers, air compressors, generators, kitchen hoods, overhead cranes, etc.)
- Experience managing large-scale contracts at a level equivalent to or higher than a project manager
Required Licenses
- Japanese Driver's License
- Business level English (conversation, reading and writing)
- Fluent Japanese language skills at a business level are desirable, but applications from candidates with proficiency below that level are also welcome
- Legal resident of Japan (Resident / Work visa)

Salary
350,000-480,000 JPY per month
※Salary is determined by skills and experience
Qualification Allowance
5,000-50,000 JPY (Depends on the type of license/qualification)
- 2nd class boiler engineer: 5,000 yen
- 1st class boiler engineer: 10,000 yen
- Type 2 electrician: 5,000 yen
- Type 1 electrician: 10,000 yen
Commuting Allowance
Applicable when one-way distance is over 2 km (Up to 30,000 JPY per month)
** Free parking lot is available
Working Hours
8:00~17:00 (1 hour lunch break)
** There might be some overtime work
Holidays
Saturdays, Sundays, Other days as specified by the company (124 non-working days per year)
** 10 days of annual leave will be provided when 6 months of service is completed.
Bonus
Twice a year (July and December)
Base salary x 2.0 total (Results from previous year is 3.0)
