Transmittal / Scheduler (Military Construction Dept.)
Develop and maintain detailed resource-loaded schedules for design/build construction projects using MS Project or Primavera P6.
Job Description
Work closely with Engineers and Project Managers to develop and maintain detailed resource-loaded schedules of Design/Build construction projects using MS Project or P6 Primavera. Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, baseline, status, and perform measurement baseline. Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports: Gantt, milestone charts, and other tools used to support critical path analysis, near-term tasks work, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances, and to support cost/schedule integration. Gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects. Support the project management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects. Schedule preparation using Microsoft Scheduler/Primavera P6. Prepare and maintain submittal registers, including submission. Communicate with contract management personnel and engineers. Assist with plan preparation and plan updates as required. Any other works designated by the company.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- Construction project management experience
- Experience using MS Project or Primavera P6 and MS Excel
- Subject matter expertise using MS Project or P6 to manage an integrated master schedule and the detailed supporting schedules
- Extremely proficient in MS Office
- Excellent communication skills
Required License
- Proficient in using MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and MS Project scheduling
- Japanese Driver's License
- Business level Japanese (conversation, reading and writing)
- Business level English (conversation, reading and writing)
- Legal resident of Japan (Resident / Work visa)

Work Location
Ginowan City, Okinawa. Work location may change due to personnel changes such as reassignment, transfer, and secondment.
Salary
250,000 JPY/month and up (negotiable based on experience and skills)
Qualification Allowance
5,000-50,000 JPY (depends on the type of license/qualification)
Commuting Allowance
Applicable when one-way distance is over 2 km (up to 30,000 JPY per month). Free parking lot is available.
Working Hours
8:00-17:00 (1 hour lunch break). There might be some overtime work.
Holidays
Saturdays, Sundays, other days as specified by the company (124 non-working days per year). 10 days of annual leave will be provided when 6 months of service is completed.
Bonus
Twice a year (July and December). Base salary x 2.0 total (results from previous year is 3.0).
Pay Raise
Once a year (Spring).
Retirement Bonus
Applicable to join the system when an employee reaches 1 year of service.
