Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Specialist
Serve as technical lead for integrating AI/ML capabilities into Marine Corps operational frameworks, architecting and deploying production-grade solutions.
As an artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) specialist, you will serve as the technical lead for Maven Smart System integration with the client's branch. This pivotal role will drive the adoption and advancement of enterprise-level AI/ML capabilities across operational and decision-making frameworks, ensuring seamless connectivity between locally developed models and the broader Department of Defense AI ecosystem. The selected candidate will architect, build, and deploy production-grade AI-driven solutions and automated workflows, manage scalable data pipelines, and provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams. Candidates must possess a strong background in software engineering, data engineering, or MLOps, with demonstrated experience in integrating DoD AI systems, deep proficiency in Python, API development, and cloud-based AI/ML platforms. Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or MLOps roles
- 2+ years of experience integrating with DoD AI systems, including Foundry AIP or Gaia
- Experience using Python
- Experience building and consuming APIs such as REST and gRPC, for system-to-system integration
- Experience architecting end-to-end AI/ML solutions, including data pipelines and operational workflows
- Experience in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining production-grade AI/ML systems and automated workflows
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in CS or Software Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MLOps tools and frameworks such as Kubeflow, MLflow, or Airflow
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms, including Azure ML or AWS SageMaker
- Experience working in government cloud environments
- Experience developing scalable data pipelines for real-time inference and integration with enterprise-level AI platforms
- Ability to optimize performance of ML models and data pipelines for speed and scalability
- Ability to provide technical leadership to software developers and analysts
- Possession of strong collaboration skills
