Field Service Engineer
Field Service Engineers support a large defense mission by providing hands-on technical support, deployment, operations, and maintenance of mission-critical communication systems.
Insight Global is seeking TS/SCI Field Service Engineers to support an exciting, large mission for a large defense customer. This person will undergo six months of training in San Diego, CA, and then spend at least two years working at a CONUS or OCONUS site providing hands-on technical support.
This person will be part of the team responsible for the deployment, operations, and maintenance of mission-critical communication systems. Responsibilities include:
- Installing, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting ground segment systems.
- Being solutions oriented and having experience learning standard operating procedures of a new system.
The work environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and will involve communication with the customer and other military personnel.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 2+ years of applicable experience.
- Ability and interest in living/working CONUS or OCONUS for a minimum of 2 years.
- Active Sec+ (or ability to obtain before completion of 6-month training program).
- Experience working with Air Vehicle Operations and Ground station systems.
- Experience working in Linux and Windows environments to perform system administration duties.
- Experience with field integration, hands-on troubleshooting, and repair of systems in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
- DoD 8570 Certification in Windows, Linux, or Cisco.
- Virtualization and VMWare experience.
- Experience managing servers and Windows domain architecture.
- Experience working off of maintenance instructions and maintenance sign-off processes.
