Social Worker (Mental Health Consultant)
Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions and provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
Responsibilities
- Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions.
- Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
- Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, including recommendations for team-based care.
- Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
- Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements for Social Worker (Mental Health Consultant):
- Education: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. (A copy of your transcripts must be attached.)
- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
- Conducting mental health assessments;
- Providing individual and group treatment;
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Licensure:
- A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. (A copy of the license must be provided.)

Employment Details
- This position is located at Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan.
- This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
- The initial length of this overseas tour is 24 months.
