About the Role
Music Directors collaborate with the Service Chaplain to lead choir and community vocals during worship services at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Butler, including Camp Foster, Camp Courtney, Camp Kinser, Camp Hansen, and Camp Schwab.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead choir and congregational singing for regular and special worship services.
- Plan and execute music programs, including selecting music, preparing multimedia, and developing worship content.
- Conduct rehearsals and pre-service warmups.
- Recruit, train, and manage a volunteer choir or praise team.
- Coordinate music and scheduling with the Service Chaplain.
- Submit reports and communicate regularly with chapel staff.

Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience leading choirs in both traditional and contemporary Christian music styles.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret music.
- Strong communication in English (oral and written).
