We are seeking a collaborative and caring Middle School Social Studies and English teacher, with possible Bible class teaching responsibilities, committed to equipping students to walk with Jesus.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver clear, well-organized lessons aligned with school standards and students’ developmental needs.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners and use assessments to monitor and guide student growth.
- Create a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment that supports learning and positive behavior.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in professional learning, team collaboration, and the school improvement process.
- Support the mission, vision, values, and Expected Student Outcomes of OCSI.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (education or related field).
- Valid teacher certification/licensure.
- Commitment to Christian education and ability to integrate faith into teaching and community life.
- Alignment with OCSI’s mission, vision, and values.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in international or multicultural school settings.
- Experience using standards-based curriculum and assessment practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
