The CRE supports chapel programs by developing and leading Catholic and Protestant religious education activities for children, youth, and adults at U.S. Marine Corps installations across Okinawa.
Key Responsibilities / 主な業務内容
- Plan and lead Sunday School, Bible study, sacramental preparation, and seasonal programs for both Catholic and Protestant communities.
- Coordinate logistics, materials, supplies, and facility setup for all religious education activities.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer teachers and program assistants.
- Work closely with Chaplains, chapel staff, and congregational leaders.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. military child safety and protection guidelines.
Requirements
Qualifications / 応募資格
- Experience / 経験: At least 1 year of experience teaching or coordinating Catholic or Protestant religious education.
- Education / 学歴: High school diploma or GED required. Religious education training or college-level coursework preferred.
- Skills / スキル:
- Ability to teach Christian faith in a respectful and inclusive manner.
- English communication and classroom management skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work across denominations.
